2016 Acharai Fund Letter of Inquiry is now available!
Step 1: Letter of Inquiry Due by March 27, 2016
- Applicants must review our How to Apply Guidelines and download and submit a Letter of Inquiry (.2016-Acharai-LOI-FINAL) Letters of Inquiry must be sent by email to grants@acharaifund.org by 5:00 PM EST on March 27, 2016.
Step 2: Semi Finalist Organizations Notified by May 22, 2016
- Applicants will be asked to respond to specific questions regarding their LOI by May 22, 2016.
Step 3: Responses Due by June 10, 2016
- Applicants must send their responses by email to grants@acharaifund.org by June 10, 2016.
Step 4: Selection of Finalists by July 15, 2016
- Acharai Fund members will review all applications and will select finalists by July 15, 2016. At that time, finalists will receive specific guidelines for making a video presentation to be shown to all Acharai Fund members.
Step 5: Video Presentations Due by September 10, 2016
- Five minute presentations must be sent to grants@acharaifund.org by September 10, 2016.
Step 6: Fall 2016: Finalist Presentation and Selection of Grantees
- The video presentations of all grantee finalists will be shown at the Acharai Fund annual meeting in early Fall 2016. Following these presentations, Acharai Fund members will vote by individual family ballot. Each family will have one vote to determine grant recipients. Grant award winners will be notified following the annual meeting.
Step 7: Payment of Grant and Reports/Evaluation
Prior to the release of funds to a project grantee, the recipient must complete the Grant Agreement. Acharai Fund may distribute grants in installments, depending on the nature of the project. Grantees must submit periodic reports as specified in the Grant Agreement.
